how bad is it to switch formulas cold turkey?

this is what we did last time because I didn't know any better.  I think we jumped the gun on switching her from the regular similac to the soy and would like to switch back.  I think the feeding problems we were having were due to her reflux and gas and since we use mylicon now i think it would be okay to go back.

It didn't seem to bother her at all last time when we switched.  What do you think?

  • We've switched formulas a couple of times cold turkey... It didn't occur to me to do it any other way...

  • did it seem to upset your ds's tummy?  I know that is the reason you're not supposed to but we didn't really have a problem last time.
  • No more than anything else does - he's a frequent, but happy, spitter!  His BM's became a little more frequent when we've changed formulas but went back to normal after a couple of days.
