I wish DPW would knock down some of those snowbanks...it makes it so hard to see when you are turning into another street.
Come on guys ... 40 degree weather is coming with no major storms in the future...now is the time to get your @sses out there and get rid of those 6 foot high snowbanks.

Re: my newest pet peeve....6 foot high snowbanks on street corners!
How do kids wait for the school bus if there are huge snowbanks on the corners?
ditto. They are only plowing our city..no salt at all except for 1 main road. I don't think the snow banks are considered at all. We have 3 foot banks just along the road and sidewalks. I don't think there is much they can do about the huge piles on corners.
around here the bus picks kids up in front of their driveway....there are no bus stops on street corners. I live in a very small town...the main street running thru the town does not have the snowbanks but its all the little side streets that have them.
I realized there are more important things DPW has to worry about and they are working on a very limited budget but for some reason those snowbanks are really bad this year.
ha. They have nowhere to put them here. You should see the mall parking lot lately, OMG. People go sledding on it! lol
I live at the end of a cul-de-sac and the trucks plow it all to the top of the street. I cannot even SEE my mailbox (neither can my neighbor). Our poor mailman has to get out every day and hand deliver our mail for us.
