Are any first time moms deciding not to try breast feeding? I'm debating and go back an forth, but with my work it's going to be REALLY hard. I work 13 hour shifts, and I know I could pump, but it seems like when I tell ppl (esp MIL) that I may not try I get these huge lectures intended to guilt me into changing my mind.?

Re: breast feeding
I am not BFing for a variety of reasons. It was really hard to make the decision, but now that it is made, it is so much easier. I work with all men. Pumping would leave me sitting in a bathroom stall for privacy...and the men wondering why I am taking so many breaks and such...just not a plesant environment.
I reccomend doing your research, making a decision and not looking back...but you have to be flexible. Bfing doesn't work for every mom or every baby.
Do what ever YOU want! Tell your MIL to stuff it!

I am pumping so that the baby gets use to the bottle right away and it will make it easier for my hubby to feed her too.
I'm going to give it a shot.
don't let anyone guilt you into doing something you don't want to or are not comfortable doing. the best thing for baby is a comfortable happy mommy, not one who is stressing about fitting pumping into her day.
I'm not even going to discuss my decision with anyone but my husband.
