Yesterday at the grocery store (although I managed to sprint outside with one hand firmly pressed over my mouth and vomit on the sidewalk). My DH thought I had stormed out of the store pissed at him (which is actually really funny cause that's totally not my style...)

I actually think about the possibility of this all of the time.  I don't think I could swallow it.  What I am really freaked out about is... what if I get sick while commuting to/from work?  Traffic is horrible around here and there just isn't anywhere to pull off.

Yes, but it wasn't due to m/s or being pg or anything; it was this totally random other thing that was going on w/ me while I was pg w/ DS (a long story).  But, I booted constantly, w/ little to no warning whatsoever.  I carried barf bags with me everywhere and became very proficient at discreetly ducking aside and puking into the bag. It was utterly disgusting and literally one of the worst periods of my life. But, I told myself that all the random ppl who accidentally saw me barf into a bag in public just assumed it was a pregnant thing, so that made it slightly less embarrassing, since I also told myself that ppl are slightly more understanding of pregnant women puking.

OH Sare it may be easier to answer where HAVEN'T I thrown up? My preference is the mad dash to the kitchen sink. That makes life easier for everyone. I've done it on the sidewalk to and from work so many times I've lost count.

I've almost thrown up twice at work but took a couple of deep breaths and it eventually went away. Nobody knows I'm pregnant yet.

Oh man, that's the worst! Luckily it hasn't happened to me, but I have felt nauseous on the bus a couple of times, to the point where I have started toting a paper bag in my purse just in case.

If NYE counts, YUP. I lost my cookies at a bar - thankfully I was sitting right next to a garbage can that evening. LMAO.

I actually keep a plastic grocery bag in my purse and in my car just in case of this issue. So far, I've been gagging in the car but never actually vomited until I reached a toilet. I agree, there's no way I could swallow it. Keep a bag handy! :-)

I've got a bunch of friends who have recommended carrying those blue doggy poop bags around wherever you go.  They are compact (rolled into a tight little roll), and - I think most importantly, they are opaque and have an odor-barrier.  Thus, if you boot at work or wherever, you've always got something on-hand.  That is, if you have enough notice to get a bag ready.
