I read that you go to Lancaster, PA for vacations...DH and I were talking about this last week and couldn't figure it out...what do people do there and why do you vacation there? What is there? We are genuinely curious about this. :-)

we go to get away from everything. so, there's really not a whole lot there. but the food is amazing. we always go to Strasburg and ride the train. we've done the haunted walks around there.
There's a little shopping village that has homemade ice cream and freshly made kettle corn, and it has the big jam/jelly store in there too.
we also do the amish horsebuggy rides. last time we went, we stayed in the Red Caboose Motel- they showed older movies on the side of the barn for free, and they had a petting zoo.
Really, it's nice to just get away from all the noise and hub-bub for awhile. i don't think i could spend a whole week, but 4 days is perfect. oh, and there is outlet shopping ;-)
