What's the consensus on GP re: the rest of the pineapple

Google drives me bonkers.

 

I've heard conflicting things about eating the rest of the pineapple.  Is it 'safe'?

There is a chemical in the pineapple that can cause uterine contractions, which will interfere with implantation.  I wouldn't eat it (or at least not a lot of it).

from what I've gathered, I'd just eat the core, too much of the fruit itself can be bad.

I've heard some moms say they ate it all through the pregnancy.  I use pineapple a lot in smoothies.  So, I'm hoping....
