We did them last night and it turns out federal is owing us money but CA is taking some of our money. Go figure.

Soon. My W2's should get here the beginning of next week. I can't decide if I need to go in to have them done. We bought a house, sold a house and moved to a different state. Ugh.

I would go into a H&R Block, just to make sure you get everything right!

If you are concerned about it, take them to a CPA...but get referrals from people you trust.

Going to H&R Block does not guarantee they will be done correctly, and a lot of times, they are no cheaper than taking them to a CPA.

If you want to try to do them yourself, but aren't sure, try taxact.com. They are pretty good and free. That is who I use because we don't e-file at our office, and my return is fairly simple.

We are just waiting on some tax info that needs to be sent from our investments before we send the info off to our CPA. I'm hoping for a big refund ::crosses fingers::
