I am literally going insane waiting for this genetics appt. What is worse is that I am hearing the b/w takes several weeks after that to come back. I have had forced breaks before for cysts or m/c but this is even more tedious. My IVF meds are mocking me from the fridge What are some good distractions? I know it sounds pathetic but I am so glad this is at least happening during American Idol season as I am an AI addict...

I am due to OHSS in December and needing a hydrosonogram.I know what you mean about the meds in the fridge mocking me too.

I am forced break too and my meds are the first thing I see when I open the fridge they are like hi there it didn't work again huh???  We have our WTF appt on Tues but I have no idea where we are headed from here. Luckily for me I am fininshing a certificate program so I now have homework as a slight distraction. I like AI too, hope this time flies for you

I am!    CD1 today and can't TTC.  I hate it.

Had a D & C 45 days ago and this cycle my RE won't do an IUI...I need a 2nd break cycle and I have to get the HSG/SHG.  It is SO frustrating to let these opportunities go!  Distractions are good!

I almost feel like I am on a forced break, but it is situational and not medical.  DH got laid off from work, so we don't have insurance now.  In addition, he is going on an interview next week for a job that is out of state.  We may be moving, so I really can't get aggressive with my treatment again until we have insurance and a stable living situation.  Definitely sucks.  My mom and I are going out shopping today, so that should take my mind off of things for a little while.

I am. My D&C was 39 days ago. I have an appt on 2/2 to see what RE says. No AF yet, but I doubt it will come on it's on. I am hoping he doesn't make me wait 2 cycles, if he does I hope to get provera to have AF next week and then try after our cruise. That's our distraction, booked the weekend after the m/c. I too have meds in the fridge. they are in the cheese drawer so I don't see them unless I want cheese.

Hopefully the time will pass quickly for everyone.

I am due to overstimulation. I didn't want to end up being the 1st couple to have decatuplets I have my tx calendar next to my bed and I cross off a day every evening when I take my meds...at least this way I can see I'm making progress. It's almost better to be at work, because I feel like today the clock is just not moving.

::Sara raises her hand::  I'm on one this cycle and probably next because of my lap and HYS.  No BD or even tampons until my follow-up appointment on the 23rd of February.  After that it will be a forced break on ourselves to save for IVF.  I mean I'll do OPKs and TI, but I'm sure that will get us no where!  I feel your pain for sure! 

Distractions?  I'm a big TV watcher and planning for IVF (b/w, research, etc) too.  I've also started reading more than I ever have in my life...outside of school when I was forced! 

And I have TONS of Follistim staring at me in the frig too.  I just moved them to the back and the top shelf the other day where it's harder for me to notice every time I open the door!

We are due to having my 2nd m/c a few weeks ago.  Who knows when we can resume.  I had mtx shot 2 weeks ago this coming Monday and I'm still bleeding moderately.  My last hcg level was down to 600 last Monday, so I'm hoping it keeps dropping nicely.  We're having a RPL panel done and DH had his b/w done last week for the RPL but of course I have to wait until my hcg is at zero. I'm thinking that won't be until mid/late Feb.  Then it'll take probably a month for those results to get back.  And then I'll have to wait for my 2nd AF post m/c.   Last time it took me 6 weeks to get my 1st AF after the m/c.  I hate all of this; I hate having no control over my body!

I am looking into a 2nd opinion. My appointment is on Monday so hopefully I will be back in the game soon. I am also waiting for AF to arrive. My cycle is completely messed up since my m/c in November.

i am - we lost our babies 4 weeks ago and are on a break for about 3 months - 1 break cycle, a cycle to do an shg and then another AF before trying again....

 

at least I saw the RE for a consult and am back on met - trying to lose a few pounds and eat better and work out

but I am counting off the days.....
