"Mama Bear"

K-I-S-S-I-N-G

I don't know what it is about this expression but it seriously makes my skin crawl when people refer to themselves as a "Mama Bear" in regards to being protective of their children. I know people use it all the time, but it skeeves me out for some reason.

 

I also HATE the word "platter" -- it reminds me of bladder and the idea of serving anything on a bladder makes me want to puke.
