ILs have been here for 2 hours

so far I've been irritated twice:

1) Got in to the circ debate. They want to know why we didn't. Cuz they heard boys that don't have it done "have problems"

2) Our new sons name is apparantly "growing on" MIL. Why even say that? It's already his name.

WEEEEEEEE, this is gonna be a fun weekend (I do admit that I am particularly over-sensitive since I'm sure my hormones are out of whack). How much is it safe to drink while BFing?? Wink

I laughed at little at first b/c I remember how much my ILs got under my skin after DS2 was born. But umm, then I read the follow up - MIL wanting to see it - yeah, that's over the top. You deserve a nice long nap!

our son isn't circ'd either. In fact DH talked to the uriologist when DS was in the NICU and was told that there is absolutely no medical reason to circ your child. A few boys may have problems but if they are cleaned properly and taught how to do that themselves as they get older then there are no more problems than with boys that are circ'd. My mom doesn't like my son's name either........she'll get over it but I understand how annoying it is.

Stupid ILs!!

FWIW I love Owen! Also when I told MIL that we were probably going to name DS Gavin then she goes "oh I wasn't expecting that name." So you aren't alone there. Hope the weekend goes by fast!

Ohmygoodness. I can't believe she wanted to LOOK at it! Benjamin isn't circ'd either, and I think Owen is a FANTASTIC name.

Take advantage of the extra hands and rest up as much as you can. I still do that every time I have to deal with my ILs!

lol at the name "growing" on her. ?My mom said something similar about Evan after he was born, but considering the comments that usually come out of her mouth, it was mild in comparison and I just took it as a compliment. ?:)

Why couldn't she just volunteer to change a diaper or something? ?Seems weird to make a point about looking at his penis.?

Oh, it's growing on her, is it?! That's good, since it's his name for the rest of his life! What a weirdo. You can tell she was not surrounded by girls when your DH was growing up-she has no filter.

yup, i have in laws like this. it's horrible. you can have a drink an hour or something like that. people have said that if you don't feel tipsy, you're fine. I had wine immediately after feeding, that way by the time it was time to feed again, it was out of me.
