I got a job!!!

I got notice that I was being "displaced" about a month ago - they closed my unit (I'm a nurse). So - we all went in order of seniority and bid on positions yesterday and today - and I got a comparable hours job - and I'm going to be an Intensive Care Nursery nurse - something I wanted to get into! I'm so relieved and excited!!

There are going to be about 50 nurses without jobs by the end of today...I was so scared I was going to be among them.

That's great! ICU nurses are the nicest people. My nephew was in ICU for several weeks and they were just so great!

Congratulations! Sounds wonderful. Being a nurse is my dream-job. I have had to keep putting off finishing school because I keep getting pregnant;) Some day I hope to join you, career-wise!
