My random observations about last night's J&K+8

1.  If the house was really that "FILTHY!!!!" then why was Kate walking around barefoot?

2.  If the fridge was really that "FILTHY!!!!" then why wasn't Kate wearing her yellow rubber gloves while cleaning it, like she was when cleaning the cabinets?

3.  I don't blame them for not showing much of the outside....I'm sure they are tired of people finding them.

4.  There is simply no way it took her 4 hours to clean the fridge.  No way.

I agree, she can get over the top.  but she was cleaning that firdge like crazy.  Did you see at the end she was using a TOOTHPICK to clean the funk out of the little crevices!?!  And holy cow that is a huge house.  What state did they say it was in?

What really bugged me is that she refused to help Joel wipe his butt. He did call out to her, but she couldn't find him. I htink she didn't want to go upstairs.

It also bothered me that the kids would severly punished if they went into their bedroom. I thought that was over the top

I don't understand why she didn't just hire someone to clean it. ?If they can afford the house, they can certainly afford a one time cleaning service.

The "severe punishment" for going into their room REALLY bothered me.  A lot. So your sick kids can not come in your room and cuddle with you for fear of severe punishment. Whatever, that's sad.

I actually quit watching the show but saw a preview about the new house and was sucked in by my curiousity. I really liked the show in the beginning but it has gotten to the point that Kate grates on my last nerve with her stupid crap and I get sick of watching it, so I don't anymore...for the most part

Yeah, Kate would probably pass out if she saw my refrigerator.  She's a bit much to take. Like the PP, I used to watch a lot more but I think everything has gone to their heads and they're not "real" anymore. That house is enormous. Their bedroom alone is the same square footage as our entire downstairs, at least. As we were watching, DH and I were wondering if TLC would be interested in a reality TV show about a husband and wife with 2 girls, 2 years apart. Then maybe we could afford a mansion, too!

The whole never going in their room thing bugged me, too. What parents only allow their child to only knock on the door but never enter or risk severe punishment b/c mom and dad need privacy. Maybe they should have thought of that before having 8 kids! I've never heard anything so outrageous from her. I think she cleaned for the sake of the show, but really hired a cleaning crew for the rest of the house. I love that she's out in the country. Now she'll have dirt tracked in (unavoidable), rodents, insects.....ooh, I can't wait! BTW, they're in Pennsylvania.

I watch, but I can't stand Kate. What the hell does John see in her? She's so degrating to him and her kids. I don't understand why TLC doesn't send her ass to therapy. Now, that would make for some good TV!
