weather channel guy said this to my DH

He came in to have dinner - the restuarant is downtown on the riverfront.  The only hotel right near where they are is the executive Inn which is under million-dollar renovations.  Everything else is closer to the interstate and mall areas.  He got a hotel not far from where we live and he said TWC execs called and told him to get closer to downtown b/c the scenery wasn't good enough where he originally was.

I don't know if they plan to drive back to our area - if not there are some very questionable hotels where he is - you know the kind that may just charge by the hour?

DH closed the restaurant early and is on his way home.  Send happy thoughts that he gets here safe.

It may be because I'm really tired, but I cannot wrap my head around this post enough to fully understand it for some reason.  At any rate, if there is any reason that your husband may be in danger, I hope he is ok!

    Ditto!

  • the post actually sent itself before I could finish, but I didn't bother to retype.

He's on his way home now and called and said it's really bad out there.

Earlier I posted that Jim somebody is here from the Weather Channel reporting on the "catastrophic" event we are having (local news actually said that)

    HTH! Sorry!

  • My husband is a huge Weather Channel fan and would love to be there right now, except he's not fond of the cold.

  • I needed that laugh.  Totally worth almost peeing in my pants.
  • Jim Cantori.

My husband used to work with him and says that Jim is a giant weenie. DH always roots for the 'catastrophic weather events' when he sees that Jim is reporting on them. LOL
