Can I return some clothes to Kohl's w/o a reciept? My mom bought the stuff for DD, but she won't fit in it. I don't mind if I get store credit, I can use it to buy her something else. I know its from there, b/c it has Kohl's tags on all the clothes.
Yes...they give you store credit for it, and at a fair price, not like oh, this is the "without a receipt price of $0.96" like other stores.
I'm pretty sure stores only do that when something has been marked down that far on clearance. Which makes sense. You could have bought it full price 3 months ago, or you could have bought it for $1.97 and taken the clearance sticker off in hopes of making some money back.
Yeah, Kohl's will still only give you the lowest price that it's been. So if it's on clearance now for $4, that's what you're going to get even if the pricetag says $30.

i've had a completely different experience. i bought a pair of earings for $10 on clearance and then decided against them. except i lost my reciept. i told the returns person this and she said that whatever they ring up now is what i'd get. i was thinking, "great, they're going to be even more marked down." but nope, they rang up for more than i paid. and i got store credit for more than what i paid.
