My ds is starting daycare in 2 months. I'm curious what the feeding schedule for 1 year-olds is at your facility. My son will not take a bottle, or anything but water from a cup and I am worried how we are going to get him fully nurished in daycare. Right now he is doing three meals of solids a day w/ water, and I am nursing him the rest of the time. TIA, Steph

Re: 1 year olds in Daycare
DD goes to daycare and by law they are required to eat a certain amount of foods in there care. DD's provider went over the list of list with me, ie. they are supposed to serve a certain amount of proteins, dairy, etc. throughout the day.
DD gets breakfast when she gets there, snack, lunch, snack. She also gets her bottle a couple times a day.
just have open communication with your provider. Tell them what works in your house and they should follow your suggestions.
Don't worry, it will all work out and he will nourished...
The schedule at our daycare (its a daycare center) is:
9 am- snack (cereal/cereal bar, something like that) w/ milk
11 am- lunch (protein/veg/fruit) w/ milk or juice
3 pm- snack w/ milk or juice
DS has been on the big kid side of the infant room since about 10 months, getting him ready for the toddler room (which should be soon now that he is walking). Here is his feeding schedule:
6:30 - Wake up, and leave for daycare/work'
7:30 - Start sippy of milk
7:45 - Breakfast and finish sippy of milk
10:30 - Snack time
11:30 - Lunch
2 (or whenever he wakes up from his nap) - Sippy of milk and some cookies
4 - Yogurt
6:30 - Start sippy of milk
7 - Dinner and finish sippy of milk
