Ok when are they supposed to slow down in growth?  DS just turned 11m.  Hes over 27 lbs and 32 inches.  Hes grew 2 inche since his 9m appt and gained over 2 lbs.  Hes always been off the charts for height/weight hes not fat whatsoever very proportioned, hes mobile for the past two weeks. 

Is this normal to be growing this much still????

Paige grew two inches between 9 months and 12 months.  She also gained 1 1/2 lbs.  Between 12 and 15 months she only grew 1/4 of and inch and she gained 1 lb. So she took a big growth spurt and then went back to her normal growing.  She is also off the charts.  She is  big girl - I don't feel she is fat but she is tall and solid.  She doesn't have a lot of rolls or anything - just big.

probably when they start walking and hit a growth spurt (a vertical one)

I'm pretty sure it slows down after 12 months.

DD grew 2 inches and a little under 2 lbs. between 9 and 12 months -- and she's a peanut, so 2 lbs. is a lot for her.

Harm is 34 inches... but the doc told us it should slow down at his 1 yr check up.  I hope so... I hate having to always be buying TONS of clothes

Honestly, I'd love it if my DS grew some more. He grew less than an inch between 9 and 12 months and is so short. It's not a huge surprise because DH and I are not tall, but I was hoping he'd somehow be taller. His pants are all too long. I hate to hear he's going to slow down now!

I'm anticipating taking DD to her 15 month appointment on Monday and finding out that she weighs the same as she did at 12 months and that she's still the same height, maybe a little taller.

FTR, she was 34 1/4" and 26 lbs, 12 oz at 12 mos. And seeing those figures, I realize she has probably gained at least a little weight...

DS used to put on multiple pounds a month.  He was 28 pounds and change at his 1 year appointment, and 29 at his 15 month (finally on the chart for weight!).  He's getting taller and thinner now.
