Plz help. 15 month old w/ a cold

I know I can't give him anything but what can I do?  He has a runny nose and cough.  How do I make saline nose solution? Or any other suggestions would be wonderful. I think we are in for a very long night.

You can buy saline solution at drug stores for $1 or $2.  Run a humidifier in his room if you aren't already.  That's about all you can do unfortunately.

It can help to elevate the head of his mattress. ?A humidifier in his room will probably help. ?Keep him drinking fluids (juice popsicles might help). ?Vicks on his feet, under his socks seems to help. ?If he's running a fever infant Tylenol or Motrin is okay. ?

The saline nose spray is the only thing I was going to suggest... but I have only done the store-bought ones, never made one.  Also, do you have a humidifier you can put in his room?  That might help him breathe.  GL!  My 2 1/2 year old has a nasty cold now and there's still not much you can do at that age.  So frustrating!

Saline Solution - OR you can use contact lense solution (same thing) ~ squirt into nose - he may gag, but he'll get better faster!
