How strict is the 24-hour rule? I always make DD's bottles the night before and put them in the fridge for the next day. She has a tummy bug that started last night so she is behind 3 bottles. Can I save them for tomorrow if I made them last night? I hate to waste them. She is on alimentum and that stuff costs a fortune! Thanks.
Re: Q for FF moms
Hmm, if she didn't have a stomach bug, I'd say go for it, but given that she's already sick, you'd hate to give her the formula if it goes bad or has the possibility of going bad. I have no idea how flexible the 24 hour rule is with formula. I know I've basically bent every single rule there is with breastmilk, but I'm not quite as confident about formula.
My co-worker said she's put her child to bed with a formula bottle, and he's woken up the next day and drank the formula w/ no problems. That is a bit extreme, IMO.
