First Day Alone

So today if my first day alone with the boys.  My Mom was here for the 1st 3 weeks and she left on Wed. and DH was off Wed and Thur from work.  I am just scared that I will loose my mind today and not be able to do this on my own. 

I just had to get this off my chest and knew you ladies would understand.

My parents were here for 6 wks and I was never alone w/ my boys until they drove away to go home to GA.  I bawled and was soooo scared but listen, by next Tuesday, you are going to feel like Wonder Woman.  After just a couple days, I couldn't believe how well we all did.  You're the momma and that's all those little ones need.  You'll rock!

Good luck today! I am sure you will get the hang of it. I am alone with one of mine today (other little one is still in the NICU), I was a little freaked out by that, then I realized how much easier it is with just one, no idea what I will do when I am alone with 2! I guess we will all survive it though?

I totally remember my first day too. ?A year later, I wouldn't trade this stay at home stuff for anything!! ?I love it. ?There will be some crazy moments, but they get fewer and farther between. ?Enjoy those babies.

My parents were with me for 3 weeks after my guys came home from the NICU.  when they left, my husband was already back to work and i was terrified.  my friends were a huge help and would stop by when they could to help out.  after a few weeks, i had the hang of it and wished that people would stop coming over so much!  you've got this...no worries.  if they cry, they cry. if they nap in their swing, it doesn't really matter.  do what you need to do and in a few days you will be laughing at the thought that you were scared!

You can do it!! Good luck and have a great day with your babies!  It is only going to get easier the more that you're alone with them... and before you know it you'll be a pro!

You'll be fine!!  I've been alone now for about a week.  Just stagger their feedings so you don't have two yelling at once.  Then remember to put them down to nap because you need time to yourself without them crying or you'll go nuts.  You are not a bad mommy if someone is left crying for a little while or you aren't constantly holding one.  You'll get used to it pretty fast.  I do count the minutes until DH gets home from work just so I can have adult conversation and 15 minutes to take a shower.

Hope you are hanging in there and doing alright. It is hard, but it is amazing the strength you will find. When I start feeling stressed I like to start singing silly songs outloud. It helps me relax and find something to laugh about.?
