Breast Pump cleaning at work ?

What do you use?  I saw the Lansinoh personal cleansing cloths at Target, but they looked like they were for the baby and not a breast pump.  I need something quick and convenient so I'm not running to the bathroom every time after a pumping.  Pumping alone is sucking up too much of my work time.  :)  TIA!

  • Medela wipes. They have a pack of 40 or individually wrapped singles that you get in a box of 40. They're awesome for wiping down highchairs and surfaces when you're done pumping.

  • I use the Medela wipes.  I got a big box of the wipes for like $7 online.  They are kind of like wet naps for your pump.

  • Best tip I ever got was to just use one shield and container and keep emptying into a BM storage bag as needed. Between pumps, store shield and container in a plastic baggy in the fridge. Then you only need to clean once you get home!
  • I just bought one set of parts for each pumping session I do at work.  Then when I get home I rinse everything and throw it in the dishwasher.  I just feel weird carrying around horns and what not around the office.  When I did the math I felt like it was cheaper to just buy extra parts, than the keep buying cleaning wipes.
  • I used to use the Medela wipes, but now I don't use anything.  I just cover it all up and use it again.
  • wipes and the steam sterilizer bags. ?you can just throw it in the microwave!

  • After each pumping session, I wipe down the horn part with the Medela sterilizing wipes (got them for cheap at addalittlelove.com) and put them in a ziploc bag in my pumping bag.  I then put the other parts (I have the freestyle) in a small ziploc bag in the cooler with the bottles and it goes into my work fridge.  I don't wipe down these at all since they are getting refrigerated.

I used to put everything in the fridge but I hated having cold horns.  :)
