Is this crazy?

My DD sleeps 6+ hours a night and is eating 4.5 ounces every 4 hour hours.  She is only 5 weeks. I am not complaining about the sleeping but isn't it a little early for her to be sleepiing through the night?  It has been for the last 7 days or so.

You are lucky!  It's normal but just rare!  I know some babies who STTN as soon as they get home from the hospital!  4.5 ounces is good at that age.  Don't worry, as long as she's gaining weight it's fine!

DS was STTN at 5 weeks, too. Count your blessings!

cool!  count your blessings!  my DD was STTN at 6.5 wks so it'n not unheard of.

My DD is doing the same thing! Last night she slept from 11pm-7am. She is also eating 4-4.5 oz every 4 hours. This has been going on for almost 2 weeks now. I love it and I hope she keeps it up!

Not complaining either... my daughter did that too! She's still been gaining a lot of weight, the dr. said 2 lbs per 2 months or so, and well she's staying on that, so as long as the baby's happy, I wouldn't worry-- that's what we're doing! Enjoy it!

Sometimes I will notice that she is hungry 2 hours later so I bumped her up. I hope it is good enough because 5oz seems like alot but if they are hungry they are hungry right?

My DD was eating 4 ounces as a NB and she started STTN at 6 weeks, consistently every single night from about 8-9 weeks and has ever since! So hopefully you just have one of those babies!

Unfortunately, I would not get use to it or you could get let down.. the first year is very unpredictable and there are so many things that go on developmentally that one week they sleep and then next they don't!

My daughter was doing this at 6 weeks..and it was downhill from there!  I hope that isn't the case for you though.
