PBK 1st Anywhere Chair vs. Oversized

I'm trying to decide between the 1st Anywhere Chair and the Oversized one.  I'm sure someone on this board has these.  Just looking for the pros and cons of each.  I guess I just want to make sure DD wont outgrow the 1st before I get it paid off Big Smile

Re: PBK 1st Anywhere Chair vs. Oversized

  • PBK has 3 sizes:  My 1st Anywhere Chair, Regular Anywhere Chair, and the Oversized Anywhere Chair.  We have the in between size (the regular) and even I can fit into it.   The regular is plenty big and I couldn't justify the additional expense to get the oversized b/c the regular will work for at least five years, if not more.

  • DD has the oversized chair and it's great.  I can fit into now, we can sit in it together and she lays down in and curls up.  She got is as a gift but I'm glad it's the oversized one.  It's something she'll be able to use in her room/playroom for years and years to come.

  • We have the oversized one (see sig.)  It's very big and will be able to be used for years.  You'd be fine with the regular, but I wouldn't get the 1st one.
  • ds has the oversized and it's hilarious. Most of dh's friends are over six feet and it the first chair that they go to when they come into our house.

I love it because I can sit with ds and snuggle, read or just hang out. He loves to climb all over it.

  • We have the reg. size and DH and I can both fit into it....I think you'd be fine with that, but I love what the pp said about her and DC sitting together in it....that's super cute.
  • We have the regular sized chair.  I can even fit in it!

  • I have the 1st Anywhere Chair and I like it. DD got it for her 1st birthday and could use it immediately. We tried out the regular one in the store and it was just too big for her (she's big for her age, but not good at climbing and stuff so that's why I wanted the smaller one)

I can not fit my butt in it, but a 3yo butt does fit in it... but I don't think an average 5yo could. But I figure by the time she's 5 she should be more comfy sitting in regular chairs though.

I like that DD can sit in it like a real chair with her feet on the ground.

  • I got the oversized one and I think it is too big- I should have gotten the regular one. DS needs help to get in and out of it and I know that he will grow into it, but I have a friend with the regular one and that would have been fine for a long time...
