took first official trip to a store with baby today.

i was so nervous i kept running around the store to keep the cart moving so he would stay asleep lolz

    I do the same thing.  He woke up one time at BRU though - and yelled the whole time.  I got the helll out as fast as I could...

    That sounds just like my first trip... someone tried to stop me and talk and I had to tell them I was in a hurry because I didnt want him to wake up!

    I used to have near panic attacks in stores when she was younger. She always slept right through it I just saw germ clouds around everyone walking towards us. Now I'm not so worried about germs it is her! She hates her car seat and screams through most of our trips unless we hold her.

    Congrats on a successful trip and I hope you have many more!

    Oh man. I have my first one on one next week for my 6 week pp appointment. I'm hoping that if all goes well we can stroll around and maybe grab lunch.

    I've taken DS out several times now... lunches, dinner and several trips to Target & the post office. He's never even woken up from the time we left home until the time we got back. It's like magic (so far...).
    Son #1: 12.27.08 (6 years)
    Son #2: 02.06.12 (2.5 yrs)
    Baby #3 due: 02.10.15 (It's a girl!)

    I would put her in the basket part of the cart and if I had to stop, I'd move the cart back and forth so she'd still be rocking. LOL.

    I'm so used to keeping the cart moving that when I went to the grocery store the other day by myself, I caught myself rocking it back and forth!

    I remember DS always had to be in motion when we were out running errands.  If I stopped for more than a couple of seconds, he would wake up and fuss.  Now he loves looking around at everything.  Glad you survived :-)
