For the past week my son has been flipping over in his sleep to his tummy. I am so nervous that i am constantly getting up to check on him. My pedi reassured me that since he is strong enough to flip/ move his head, he should be fine. I don't want to use a sleep positioner as i dont want anything loose in the crib (and pedi also said not to use it).
Anyone else worried if their child sleeps this way?
Re: Moms of tummy sleepers: does it worry you?
My son has been a tummy sleeper since 5 wks, although he was sleeping on his tummy on me or my husband (before we diagnosed reflux). I was terrified in the beginning but kept telling myself that we were all tummy sleepers according to the instructions our parents were given and we are all ok.
If he puts himself there, then I think you, and he, are safe.
Mine has been on her tummy since 2.5 mos or so. Her pedi said it was fine too.
