I'm the WORST farking mother EVER.  My stupidty and excitement led to Liev hitting his head.  I feel like absolute sh!t.

I sat him down and let go and in the time it took me to bring the camera up to my face, he lost his balance and fell over hitting the back of his head on the edge of the changing table.

SH!T!  The poor little guy cried and cried and cried and I cried with him.  He's asleep now (he was sleepy before the fall) and I feel like crap.  Now I'm freaking out and I'll have to watch him for any signs related to head injury.

Ditto on the things we do for pictures, lol. I'm sure he'll be alright - you're keeping a good eye on him. He's a boy - he needs to get used to that sort of thing - pretty soon he'll be doing it all by himself - he won't need your help!

It comes with the territory of being a baby boy.  You're not a terrible mother, just loving and I can't blame you for wanting to take pictures of him... he's sweet!

i promise you he will be okay.  S has hit his head a number of times--the floor, the bathtub, the wall (totally my fault), and he's doing great.

honestly though, i would try to keep him awake for awhile and make sure his pupils aren't dilated & watch for vomiting.   just in case.  again, i'm an overreacter.

in the meantime, maybe you should practice sitting on your bed?    you are a WONDERFUL mommy!  you just wanted to take a picture of a milestone!
