XP: Seriously random: inviting Prez to birthday party?

Ok, so you know how you can send a wedding invitation to the White House and you get a nifty litttle card back?  DH and I did this and it's a cool keepsake.  Do you think it would work with 1st birthday invites?  I think it would be neat for DS to have something from President Obama.  Has anyone tried this or am I the only crazy one on these boards?   TIA!!

I have to say though, I read the title: inviting "Perez" and I was thinking.. what the gossip guy?? Why would you want to do that? LOL

I thought the EXACT same thing!  I need to get my head out of the gossip mags!

somebody posted this on our local board but I didn't really pay attention b/c it was past his bday.  You could go to the Cincinnati baby board and ask - I think it might have been JerseyGirl that had the address.

I was telling my husband the other day that i was going to make one wedding invitation and send it to the White House to get congrats back from them with Obama and michelle name on the signature. I got it for our wedding back in '05. You should try it and who knows they probably will send you something back. Since my DS b'day had already passed, so i'll try this year. Please let us know if you do send it and get something back.
