Babies: 0 - 3 Months

sleeping in PNP

we are thinking about getting DD to sleep in the PNP instead of the bassinet (which she is almost outgrowing) because I still want her close to us at night instead of in the crib in her nursery. I was wondering - b/c we have never used ours yet - for those of you who have babies that sleep in it, do they like the vibration, sounds or nothing? I know every baby is different but I was just wondering what I should try first.

Re: sleeping in PNP

  • Our pnp has a thing that clips on the side with sounds and a light. We've never even put batteries in it! My DD is a really good sleeper so far, she doesn't need anything but a flat surface. :)

  • i would think whatever she likes in her bassinet she would like in her PNP. our dd sleeps in her pnp every night and for every nap on weekends and she loves it. for the first few nights we did the vibration but we found she really just likes the heartbeat bear and that's it.

if i were you i'd keep everything else the same as the bassinet (music, vibration, etc) for at least a few nights to ease the transition if she has trouble.

  • thats the thing - she doesnt like her bassinet. we currently cosleep but rather than wasting my time getting her to used to the bassinet if she will soon outgrow it anyway.
