Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

Teething = the root of baby evil

Aghhh....poor DD.  She has been consistently teething since October.  She has gotten 8 teeth in the last four months and now...wait for it...molars!  Both upper and lower on her right side.  The poor kid cannot catch a break.  She is not taking bottles well, is hating the transition to milk, sleeping like crap and is generally cranky.  I cannot blame the kid, don't get me wrong, I just want my happy, sweet, sleeping child back and I just want this craptastic phase to be over!

  • Stick out tongue  Poor little Maddie!   Hang in there, at least she sounds like she is getting it over with Smile

  • Ughh. I know how you feel. DS has gotten 5 new teeth in one month! 4 of those were molars. And he has two more teeth working their way in. And it seems that nothing is working to soothe him anymore. Not tylenol, teething tablets, cold cloths etc. He just wants to be held. ALL. THE. TIME. I hope your DD feels better soon! I am trying to look at it positively and thinking it will nice to have them all come in at once and then we can move on. Not months or years or teething!

  • My first DD wasn't bothered at all by teething.  In fact, she slept a bit more when she was teething and she was a horrid sleeper so I welcomed that!  DD#2 is a different story, however- she has such a hard time w/new teeth. I've gone through more tylenol/motrin w/her in less than 2 years than I've given my 4yo DD in her life!  Hope things get better soon.
  • Thanks for the well wishes ladies!  Oh the clinginess, forgot about that one.  She has that too!  Will not let me put her down.  At 25 lbs, I think I am going to have arms of steel by the time this phase is over.
