Ovulation cramping?

Do any of you ladies experience ovulation cramping? On Friday night, I had a sharp pain on my right side, and it was right around the same time I would have O'd. If you do, what does it feel like & where is the cramping?

Re: Ovulation cramping?

  • For 3 months post m/c  I had it REALLY bad, like for a couple hours, bad period-like  cramps.  I have no clue why it hurt so long, but I always had positive opks around that time, and a thermal shift on my chart.

I think it definately sounds like it could have been it for you.  Good luck!

  • I had cramping on my right side during ovulation as well. The first time it happened was this month. I did some research on it, and its normal to have that happen. GL to you!
  • I get it occasionally, but only on the left, so I assume I only feel it when I'm Oing from the left ovary.  It feels like sharp little stretching pains, and lasts for a few minutes at most.
  • Mine doesn't last very long either, but it's enough to make me uncomfortable. It happened on the side where I had my ectopic, so I guess it's comforting to know when I will O on that side. I want to try to avoid for the first few times I O on that side.
  • I really only had O pains when I was on my Clomid cycle. But it is normal to have some cramping with O.

  • Moderate cramping on one side that lasts for a few hours. Happens every month since I went off the pill and always coincides with a +OPK.
  • I get O cramps too (well, I'm about 99% sure that's what it is, but since I don't chart, I can't say for sure). They last a few hours, and so far, have alternated sides. Mine aren't too bad. Noticeable, but totally bearable.
