Sorry I have to vent

I am sure I am overreacting but I am so mad at DH! He was going to be home today and took out meat to make dinner. Well, he ended up going to watch the game somewhere and now is NOT coming home and is NOT making dinner. And so I was like what do you want me to do with this whole chicken and he says COOK IT! Hell no I am not cooking it and plus I have never cooked a whole chicken do I don't know how really. So he says well then throw it away. Isn't this incredibly rude of him? Couldn't he just come home and watch the game here and make it!??!?! I am so mad I just don't know what to do. Plus I had to go to the baptism class all by myself for our unborn child because he didn't want to go. I fricken hate him. seriously. selfish.

    yikes! not cool. not cool skipping the baptism class, at all!

    can you leave the chicken in the fridge another day and have him cook it tomorrow? if not, repost and we will tell you how to cook a chicken, really easy. (not the point)

    i think its the weather, a lot of us have had the men in our lives go nutso this weekend. Sorry momma!

    That is annoying....but, don't throw out the chicken. ?Put it in the fridge and make him cook it tomorrow!!!

    I'm sorry.

    But cooking a chicken is easy. Seriously. Oven on 375, rinse and toss it in a roasting pan, pop it in till a meat thermometer says 180 or above (usually 1 1/2 hours to 2 hours).

    But don't give him any.

    I wasn't sure if it was safe to put it in the fridge for tomorrow or not. I really don't feel like cooking it. And it is the point..

    I know the point is that he is acting that way. Which you should be pissed i would be. That is my biggest pet peeve with hubs. Don't tell me your going to do something and then not. Just tell me up front that your not doing it. If the chicken was laid out today it will last in the fridge until tomorrow. I would keep it thawed un cooked any longer than tomorrow though.

    put the chicken in the fridge and make it tomorrow. Find a recipe online how to cook the chicken ... I think just a rub and a few hours in the oven is all you have to do.

    I'm sorry your DH was being selfish. That sucks.
