Looking for a "pen pal" for my four year old

Hi there! I am looking for a pen pal for my 4 year old daughter. She is starting to write and loves to get mail, so I thought that finding her a "friend" to write to will encourage her writing and help her to learn about a new place. We live in Rhode Island, so ideally, it would be great to find her a friend in another state. Do you have family or friends in other places?  My younger cousin did a "flat stanley" a few years ago that she really loved.  She drew a picture of a person and my aunt glued it to cardboard and cut it out.  Then they would mail it to family members around the US.  The family member would take a picture of Flat Stanely in front of some site or attraction where they live and then send a short note telling her what Flat Stanley did while he was there.  She took all of the stories and pictures and wrote her own little book all about the adventures of flat stanley.

I'd be interested! Layla is 4 and loooves to write/mail letters. But she has just been randomly picking people in the family to write random letters to- she would love to actually get a letter back and make a new friend!

The Flat Stanley thing is a cute idea too! I don't think my family would really do it though, they're pretty lazy lol.
