If you changed doctors after your loss?

did you get your records transferred over to the new practice?  Did you have to pick them up in person?  TIA- I am thinking about finding a new doc be/c I wasn't thrilled with the way I was treated during my m/c.  But I have been with them since I was 18, so I assume a new doctor would want all of my records.

I switched dr. after my m/c.  I was extremely unhappy with my care, and the dr. before my m/c much less after.  So I took that as a good time to change dr.

I didn't have my medical records switched, and my new practice didn't ask for them.  But in retrospect, I should have switched them.

My doctor's office had a medical records office I called directly and they mailed all my records to my home (after I faxed them a release form).  I wasn't happy with my doctor either during my loss...Good Luck!

I also switched drs after my first m/c...i requested my old records and picked them up from my old OB ...However, you can get them mailed to you or your new OB's office..GL

I also did. I had my memical records sent over to my new doctor. But they screwed it all up adn didnt send any of my testing over only exams. It was so frustrating. I did ask for them again to send them there and I am not sure if they every really got them. Everything came out normal for my testing anyway.

they usually mail it to your OB office. If I was to do it again I would of picked them all up myself just to make sure I had everything.

I got a new OB/gyn after my first loss & in the beginnging of my second pg.  The first guy was a total @ss, so I called the new practice that I now LOVE.  You can have your new doctor's office request the records.  I tried to pick some of mine up from my former RE this week, and they would charge me to take them.  Crazy!
