"our IF story"

Re: ***lucy***

  • By a VERY narrow thread ... as THIS week started off with mastitis and is wrapping up with more thrush due to the anti-b's.  I saw midwife on wed. and she was so concerned at how red and awful i looked she called head breast surgeon at affiliated hosp. to consult!  I am doing better now though and actually am headed back to midwife shortly for follow up.  The irony is - i was DONE, so upset and just done with it all - but couldn't stop pumping due to the mastitis - it would've made it worse - and now i feel  better so ...  i guess i'm not off this ridiculous merry go round quite yet.  we'll see how i feel this weekend.  but i'll tell you what - my take on bf'ing these days is that it can be SO hard and even awful (and impossible ) for so many people and i don't think there's an awareness of that, i really don't.  kind of like IF.
    Wheee!

  • oy! believe me. I feel you PAIN! I get a pang of depression every time I have to shell out $27 for formula. OUCH! plus it smells bad. keep fightin' that fight girl!

so now I have to add "BF awareness" to my list of other "awarenesses." I am already exhausted from educating people on IF and now plagiocephaly. what's next?
