bloodwork...expensive for you?

so I had blood drawn twice -one to measure my HCG when I began spotting, as well as to find out my blood type, and a second time to assure that my HCG went down to non pregnancy level after the m/c. (this was a very early m/c) I thought I had decent insurance, but just received a bill for $50 for the first time, and $25 for the second. This was totally unexpected! How much does it cost to actually have the baby???!!!!!

Who wants to spend that kind of money just to find out that you were faintly pg, but not anymore! bummer! I could have told them that!

I got a few bills from the lab for having my blood drawn after my m/c ... totally didn't expect it, either, but what can ya do? It sucks!

Mine is $40 per blood draw.  And i've had it done 7 times since my m/c.  Luckily I work in a medical clinic and they have a deal with some lab company in town so all b/w is free after insurence.  Thankgod!  I would cry if I had to pay that once a week!!
