DS is 18mo so we are wanting to introduce the potty slowly. How did you start with boys? I was thinking just having him sit on it while the water is running right before his bath would be a good start since I know 99% of the time he pees at that time anyway. He already sits on a little step stool next to the tub while I undress him so why not undress him and let him sit on a potty instead?? Any recs for boys would be great! Thanks!

Re: Rec your potty for boys please : )
I don't have too much advice because we just started potty training too. We bought the Fisher Price potty chair that plays music when they go potty and later turns into a potty seat, then a step-stool. I sit DS on it when he wakes up, after meals, after naptime and before bed. He's had 1 success in the week and a half that we've been doing it, but we're trying to take it slow and not pressure him. A good book to check out would be Early Start Potty Training.
Good luck!
I just bought these for my boys. haven't used them yet but they like sitting on them. Great reviews from Amazon.

We had this one for my oldest...

It worked out great because he refused to sit on it like a potty chair, so we had the toilet part and the step stool. Only thing is, it has a catcher for boys pee, but DS still managed to pee over it every time, so beware of those things! Once he got peeing down, we started sitting him backwards on the toilet, then taught him to stand up and pee.
