Booked the hotel

on Catalina Island (off the coast of SoCal) for March!! I'm so excited to finally go on vacation! We haven't been on a REAL VACATION (I'm talking not to go visit family or go camping type of vacation) in FOUR years! That's a long time for me. I need me some R&R!! Now, if only I could turn this into an early babymoon...

Oh, I'm so glad that you love the book! Definitely let me know when you're done with it - I'd like to hear what stood out to you or really impacted you.

Let's see, Avalon, Catalina is fantastic. I love it! It's so small, so you walk everywhere. There's lots of outdoorsy things to do, restaurants, and a little shopping. I know there are tours, but we never do those (I've been going since I was little). We're staying at La Paloma, which has really great rates. It's set back a little ways and up an alley, so most wouldn't even know it's there. It's really pretty (not in a fancy way, but quaint). And boat tickets over there (they have several ports, we're leaving from Long Beach) are only $66 roundtrip, which is so much cheaper than flying somewhere. So, it will be perfect for us. We'll be gone three nights, and I plan on lounging on the beach all day and eating when I'm not lounging.

That sounds so relaxing! I hope the temps are good in March so you can get good sun time. Will def give you an update on the book. I am only 2 chapters in so far, but very moving!

Oh my gosh, DH and I are going there for Valentines weekend!!! We love to go to Catalina for a little getaway. Its so romantic. You guys will have a blast!!!
