Subchorionic Hemorrhage...Anyone have this?

My dr just called & told me I do. She said it is small & she isn't worried about it. But I will most likely have some spotting goopy type discharge. & that they will re-evalute at my big u/s, unless I have a gush of blood or pain etc... I googled & now am super nervous, anyone have this. any info. experience etc...? TIA

Re: Subchorionic Hemorrhage...Anyone have this?

  • I had one a few weeks ago and bled red blood (full story in my blog)...the dr said it has since healed and our little one is still going strong.
  • I have one too. I've posted about it a number of times. It started with brown spotting for a week, turned into red bleeding for three days, and then turned back to brown spotting/bleeding for another week and half. I also passed more than my fair share of brown clots! I had another u/s yesterday and the baby was completely fine and the clot had resolved itself.

It can be very scary. Some women never bleed and the clot goes away. I was one of the "lucky" ones that had bleeding. When the red blood started flowing, I was convinced it was over. Fortunately, I had no cramping or any other bad signs, other than the bleeding.

Hang in there. It can be tough and it can last a few weeks, as mine did. Fortunately, it looks like my bleeding is about to stop. GL! There are a number of ladies on here who've had subchorionic bleeds and been fine.

  • I had a small one at an 8 wk ultrasound, but it seemed to be reabsorbed by the ultrasound I had at 9 wks because the tech didn't see it.
