I noticed you are in San Diego from your post on the temps for today. Wish I was there right now - the best temps in the country today!

We are taking a mini vaca to So. Cal. next month and plan to drive down to San Diego. Any recos for can't miss spots with only 1 day to spare?

P.S. It is only 31 degrees in ATL and tomorrow it will be even colder!

Wow I can't even imagine what 31 degrees feels like! ?What part of SoCal are you going to? ?I would recommend the following:

*the beach....any beach, my personal favorite is Coronado. ?Definitely drive over the bridge (the Coronado Bridge) and enjoy the view! ?You can take awesome picks from either side of the bay (Coronado or Downtown). ?

*the Zoo/Sea World/Wild Animal Park, my favorite is The Wild Animal Park

*Balboa Park is nice too and it's right next to the zoo. ?DH and I took our wedding pics there.

*visit the Gaslamp Quarter for great dining, shopping, dancing, etc. (if you're looking for something less nature-y)?
