I've lurked and then started posting but never actually anything about me...
I started by lurking in the TTC boards when I was diagnosed with PCOS. I'm 28 and a large part of me wanted to be pregnant by now.
I'm from the South but I live in Sweden, so these boards have been invaluable as I communicate with my RE in my second language. I moved here about three and a half years ago and pretty much started over. I've wanted to study environmental science, but have been spending the last few years learning swedish from scratch to be able to study at a university level, redoing a year and a half of high school in the process. If this semester goes well I'll be able to start at university in the fall.
Sweden is realy great in a lot of ways when it comes to the environment and I was really inspired moving here. It fueled my interests. We got an allotment (a rented garden space, mainly for people who live in apaprtments) and clumsily started growing veg organically. We take public trasnport, cook most of our food from scratch (this helps as I live in a community, we're 5 in the house who share cooking responsibility) and buy and use things consciously, always reusing or recycling.
I've read quite a few books and articles on food, climate change, the effects of chemicals, but have been slowly working better practices into my life over the past years. I didn't want it to change everything at once and then quit.
I'd been really inspired by a lot of the ideas on here and wanted to say thanks. I realized when Liz37 posted and I was affected by it that I felt like I belonged here and should say hi.
Re: Finally introducing myself here...
Welcome! I am an infrequent poster because I am just dipping my toes in the EF lifestyle, and I am not yet a mommy, so I just peruse the cloth diapering posts without adding anything.
I am planning to start TTC this year as well, so soon I guess I will have that to talk about too. Anyway, this board is GREAT and everyone is so nice! I hope you love it here as much as I do!
