stupid coworkers

So everyone is pregnant at my job- or has a new born.  So today someone else announced that they were pg, and I happened to walk in on that convo, and everyones like "oh Emma, you're next!"  Me: "next what?"  girl: "Next to be pregnant, ashley just told us shes pg too!  When are you going to get pg, you would look so cute pg, what are you waiting for?"  I was like, "oh, uh.... I have to go"  So later I walk past one of the girls from that convo and shes like, "so, really, when are you going to get pg?  you would look so cute pg."  I was like, oh, well maybe one day.

I told my husband and he's like, you should just tell them.  Tell them what?  Oh yeah, two monhts ago I found out at 12 weeks pg I had a m/c, and it could turn into cancer so I cant get pg for 6 monhts- if everything goes well.  I'm very bitter about it, so please dont ask me again.  Thanks for asking.

I dont see that going well.

I'm so sorry you have to go through that. ?I never told anyone either. ?I don't think they would understand the whole cancer thing. ?Today, my co-workers joked about me having a baby soon so we can keep enrollment up at our school.

I'm sorry.  That sucks.  People can be so dumb sometimes.  I was telling my supervisor about it, and when I got to the cancer part she looked at me like I lost my mind.

I am sorry you had to go through that.  Dealing with comments like that are so hard.  It is hard not to be pissed at them for asking.

ugh, people just don't think before they talk.  I swear, unless you've had a miscarriage or IF, you don't understand how inappropriate the whole "when are you going to be pregnant?" question is.  You handled it well though.  ((hugs))

I know it's none of their freaking business in the first place, but if they won't give up, tell the what happened - it should certainly shut them up.  If you want to be less forthcoming, just say "We have to wait for medical reasons" or "I had a miscarriage and we are waiting a while before we try again."
