dd's rash. any thoughts please?

So- my DD has been a cranker for the past few days- slight fever, but nothing else out of the ordinary. I blamed it on molars coming in, and gave her motrin for the fever. Yesterday she woke up from her nap with a rash all over her belly and back. Still there today. I'm GUESSING Roseloa, but the fever was never over 100 degrees.
Anyone have any ideas? Or should I cave and call the dr?

Thanks Confused

  • I have no idea, but I would call the doctor to ask if they need to see her!

  • I'd guess Roseola too.  Has she eaten anything unusual?
  • When I blamed teething for Adam's first bout of crankiness (and he was teething) he got a rash. Turned out to be hand, foot and mouth disease. I had no idea he was in so much mouth pain (which I learned first-hand when I got it too!)
  • I would call the pedi, just in case. It's better to be safe then sorry. HTH!

  • call the pedi, my dd had same symptoms and has atypical measels, he said its a viral rash like measels, or roseiola. FYI i learned at the dr the other day, roseiola the rash begind hrs after  a series of high fevers and hrs after the last fever breaks. dd broke out days after the last fever so no roseiola here, just measles?!!  crazy kiddo cooties, gotta love it
