Recaro Signo car seat on airplane?

Hello! I was curious if anyone out there has a Recaro Signo car seat, and if so, have you ever taken it on an airplane? We will be traveling soon and I'm worried that it's too big to fit in the airplane seat. It's supposed to fit, but I would just feel better knowing someone has actually done it. Thanks!!
