Those of you who have 2 under 2, which do you perfer? ?Those of you who who will have 2 under 2, what do you plan to do?

Re: 2 under 2: Double Strollers v.s. Old Stroller and Carrier

  • I have 2 under 2 again! LOL! I prefer a double stroller for a while - especially in the winter months. A carrier doesn't work as well. If you're in the spring/summer months, then a carrier and single stroller work well in the beginning.

I have a Jane Powertwin - LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE it!?

  • My daughter will be just 2 when the new baby comes, we got the Phil and Ted's Sport Stroller with doubles attachment. I love it!!
  • I second the Phil and Ted's sport double! ?I can't wait to start jogging with it again once I deliver the baby! ?
  • I am in a slightly different situation- will be 3 under 2 soon.  DD has never actually been in a stroller- I have had her in a sling from the beginning.  I will buy a double stroller and have one kiddo in the sling.

  • I'm going the stroller route.  Just haven't decided if I'm going the real stroller route or a sit'n'stand kind of thing.

  • i'll have two under two and I ordered a double side by side stroller. I'm actually excited to get it- its the baby jogger city mini double.

I used a sling before and dd didn't like being in it.

  • My situation was a bit different with 3 kiddies 2 and under.  My youngest was born 4 days before our twins turned 2 but didn't come home until he was 7 days old.  He was a premiee so we didn't go out much in the winter.  BUT, we used a sling and a double stroller.  In the spring we used either a harness and the double or the single stroller and 2 harnesses.  I also refuse to shop in a grocery store where they don't have the little car thingie where my twins can sit in that and my youngest son can be in the cart.  I go to Target over Walmart since ours has a cart where 2 bigger kids can sit in the front and a younger one in the cart.
  • I'm going the double stroller route. My son was big and heavy so I assume the next one will be as well.
  • We barely used our double.

My vote is carrier in the beginning and then a sit and stand.

    GL!!

Our IF journey: 1 m/c, 1 IVF with only 3 eggs retrieved yielding Dylan and a lost twin, 1 shocker unmedicated BFP resulting in Jace, 3 more unmedicated pregnancies ending in more losses.
Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.

  • We plan to carry baby in the bjorn/sling and push the toddler in the umbrella stroller.  We don't use the stroller a ton since we live in the city and many places we walk to couldn't accommodate a double stroller.

Once DC #2 is too big to wear we'll consider a sit and stand, but I have a feeling that DD won't have much interest in it.

  • we were moving when ds was 8 m/o ... new it well in advance... and were looking at two dramatically different lifestyles (urban vs rural).... so I needed to wait to buy. I made due for those 8 months putting dd in the stroller and putting ds in either the hotsling or the bjorn.... we walked at the park and the mall, and during the winter months, I just put ds in the bjorn and zipped my maternity fleece up over him.  When dd wanted to walk and ds was in the stroller.... if she got upset, I'd hipsling her with the hotsling. not a problem.  We moved to nyc, I tested every double under the sun and we opted for the P&T sport double. I LOVE IT!  But don't expect a ton of basket space if you are using the double seat in the back. I get my diaper bag in before putting one of my kids... and I can sometimes fit another small bag or two when shopping.. but mostly, dd walks at the mall and I have plenty of storage space when she walks.  I need a stroller rather than a sit n stand b/c I walk in the neighborhood a lot.  but if you don't walk/jog outdoors a lot and just need something for mall/festivals/museums... the new joovy caboose has an option to put the todder in the seat and snap the infant carseat to the back. nice.
