mail order synagis

Anyone else's insurance company send them synagis in the mail?  It's in my fridge now and has been since Friday.  I think I need to track down a home nurse service or something?  This seems really strange to me.  With my old insurance we just went to the pedi for the shots.

OMG!  That is terrifying to me!  Ask your pedi to do it, but make sure you read ALL the side effects first.  See my earlier post about this shot being bad for my babies, or read my blog.  This is not something to be taken lightly!

Yes. Our insurance sends it to us and then we put it in the fridge until our appt at the pedi (every 30 days) and then we take the shots in to the office and they administer the shots.

Yep! We get ours from Fed Ex, he comes right to our door on a Saturday, , we put it in the fridge, and about a couple of days later, the VNA nurse comes to administer it to him. ?Works out well!

We receive the synagis via mail, too.  Then, a home nurse comes a few days later and administers it to my son.  It works quite well.

So this isn't that strange?  Well that's good!

With our previous insurance we just went to the office and got the shot there.

lstaylor ... she's had 3 shots so far this season.  We switched insurance companies and moved to another state.  So it's a different process.
