1. How long does it take him/her to fall asleep? about 20 mins.
2. What is his/her bedtime routine? bath, thomas the train book, bed
3. Do you stay in the room with DC until he/she falls asleep? (If not, does DC get out of bed at all, just fall right asleep, what happens??) He lays in his bed and talks himself to sleep. He never really got out of bed, I guess I am lucky because I have heard horror stories.
1. How long does it take him/her to fall asleep? most nights between 5-10 min, on a long night, she can talk to herself for an hour :-)
2. What is his/her bedtime routine?dinner, teeth, pjs, pick out a story, read story, prayers, kiss, goodnight, lights out. ?she will sleep with about three books and flip through them before she falls asleep
3. Do you stay in the room with DC until he/she falls asleep? (If not, does DC get out of bed at all, just fall right asleep, what happens??) ?Nope and she knows to stay in bed. ?Bed time is bed time and play time is play time. ?She will just read and talk to herself until she falls asleep
1. Not sure b/c I just crack the door and leave. Usually, if I check 15 min. later he's sound asleep.
2. He has a cup of milk about an hour before, then plays. At bedtime, he kisses Daddy and we walk to his room. He climbs in his bed w/ whatever toy he has decided needs to sleep w/ him. I give him his blue man light (TykeLight nightlight), say my goodnights, crack the door, then leave.
3. I don't stay in the room. He hasn't gotten out of bed once. DH has been a SAHD for the last few months and really got DS used to falling asleep on his own. I was very surprised DS hasn't gotten up. We do have a baby gate on his room, though, in case he does get up while we're sleeping.
1 - Totally varies. We put them down a little after 7. One is usually out by 7:45. The other could be as late as 9:15.
2 - Bath at 6:30. Stories at 7. I sing two songs, then lights out. They're allowed to talk for half an hour or so, but no getting out of bed. If they're loud or it goes on too long, DH tells them it's quiet time, and they lie there until they fall asleep.
3. Nope. They talk or go to sleep.

1. How long does it take him/her to fall asleep? ?typically she goes to sleep right away!
2. What is his/her bedtime routine? ?get jammies on, read a book and lights out. ?
3. Do you stay in the room with DC until he/she falls asleep? (If not, does DC get out of bed at all, just fall right asleep, what happens??) ?nope, I turn her light out and say goodnight and leave. ?Sometimes she gets up a couple of times but 9 times out of 10 she goes right to sleep. ?:)
I am so jealous! DD has been in her twin bed for a month and a half and she still gets out repeatedly (anywhere from 2-10x a night) before finally going to sleep. I have tried putting her down earlier and putting her down later. She usually goes to bed around 8-8:30 but the other night it was 11pm before she fell asleep, and tonight she was in there for over an hour before she fell asleep.
Mom to DD#1 December '06, DD#2 Feb '09 and DS March '12
I think there was a supernanny where this was happening and she gave the kid three flowers, and those were her get out of bed passes. ?But this kid was doing the "I have to go to the bathroom, ?I need some water, I'm hungry" thing and the flowers gave her a visual. ?Sorry, that was probably no help at all!?
1. It used to take about 30 minutes but for the past week or two it has been like 5 seconds - I think it has to do with the baby. The 30 minutes was the same as the crib, there was no change.
2. Bedtime routine is bath every other day, put on PJs, vitamins, put tooth paste on toothbrush (DH started letting him have a quick taste of it, the training kind), kiss everyone good night at the gate and then he closes the gate (if DD is eating I have to go to the gate with her and if not he kisses her in her room), he turns off his light besides novelty lights, read books while he drinks his milk, brush his teeth, he turns off novelty lights, sing 3 songs while holding him and then place him in his bed tell him I love him and will see him in the morning and then leave.
3. Even if he is up for a while he just lays in his bed.

This is the end of the first week of the big girl bed for us. It has been exhausting.
1. Now, it takes about 15-20 minutes for Nora to fall asleep. First, it was 4 hours, then 2, then 1.
2. We read a couple of books, then snuggle down.
3. Right now, I'm laying in bed with her until she falls asleep. I then sneak out. If she wakes in the night (and she has every night thus far), she cries for me and I have to start the whole thing over again. I've ended up sleeping with her almost every night after she's woken up in the night. A bad thing to do, I'm sure, but Mommy is tired!
1. How long does it take him/her to fall asleep? I don't know since I usually fall asleep with her.
2. What is his/her bedtime routine? Bath, pajamas, brush teeth, nurse, bed
3.
Do you stay in the room with DC until he/she falls asleep? (If not,
does DC get out of bed at all, just fall right asleep, what happens??) Yes. I lay down with her, hence my answer to #1.

If DS falls asleep in his room (sometimes he falls asleep on DH in the living room)...
1 - 5-20 minutes
2- books, light off.
3- yes. We hold his hand.
