So I work about 10-15 hours a week outside the home and have someone come in 2 days a week... every week it seems SOMETHING comes up that she has to rechedule a day or cancel (and then there was all the snow... )
I just got a text that she has a "sinus infection" and doesnt know if its contagious or not, but will come tomorrow if I want. I am thinking she has a bad cold which has plunked down in her sinuses, and therefor is viral... and contagious... if it is a true "sinus infection" she would be on antibiotics (I always am at least)
I know this leads to a bigger conversation that has to happen about dependibility on her end, (and I dont look very good when i have to run around cancelling clients at the last minute or rescheduling every week....) but if she is sick, I dont want her getting Gabe and Audrey sick.... thoughts.... if it were you....???

Re: ? sinus infection and nanny
Yeah that would tick me off, especially since she didn't call and sent a text instead. But since the babies are still so tiny I wouldn't want her to be around them if she is sick.
Good nannies are really hard to find! I have been trying to replace mine who's last day is this week and its amazing the people that think they are qualified to watch children!
Other issues aside it's very unprofessional to text you to tell you she's sick. I would keep her on while you start looking again. Sorry you're having such a bad time!
I hope she's not really sick -- you should make her wear a face mask while she's watching the babies. If she's not faking it then your babies stand a better chance of staying healthy. If she is faking it then that will teach her
