I have no idea if I'm giving my girls too much or too little formula. They are almost 3 months (2 months adjusted). They take about 4 oz every 3 hours (7 feeds total, skipping one at nite). Sometimes they cant finish and other times they still seem hungry. Does anyone know how much total they should be drinking? Thanks
Re: How much formula- 2.5 months?
Our pedi says between 20-30 ounces per day. Ours take between 4-5 ounces every 4 hours. Mine are the same as yours...sometimes they'll eat whole bottle, sometimes they leave an ounce.
According to the feeding guide I have it says from 2-3 months 5-6 feedings average in 24 hours about 5-6 oz. a feeding average for a total of 25-36 oz. a day average.
My larger twin was hitting about 24-26 oz. a day at that point and my smaller twin was only taking in about 22-24 oz a day. By three months though they were both hitting at least 24 oz. a day. Sounds like your girls are doing fine to me.
