Matthew has been a nightmare to get to sleep the past couple of nights. He is on antibiotics for a throat and sinus infection, the dr. gave him a steroid pill to take 2x a day, and on top of it all, he has at least 2 eye teeth coming in.  It's been lovely here.  At bedtime, he throws himself all over the room, screaming violently, refuses to close his eyes, he starts swinging, he just can't settle down. Tonight before bed I gave him his steroid pill and DH says "no wonder he can't settle down at night, you're giving him steroids before bed!!" 

Yeah, probably not the smartest thing to do, huh?  Although I think no matter what we do now he's still going to be miserable. Tomorrow is his birthday, it's all going to be a big barrell of fun.

Dammit- both of them?  It was a freaking expensive pill, but he chews it right up like it's candy.  The expression in my siggy has been my life the past week or so.
