"Learning" a new kid is hard.

Just when you think you have it down pat, you have another kid.

#2 screamed bloody murder earlier.  So of course we think hunger (the trend around here).  He had eaten about 90 mins earlier but downed another 2oz.  Then screamed again...tried to burp him, diaper him, etc.  Nothing worked so I sent DH to the store for gas drops.  Sure enough a huge belch and a little spitup and now he's sleeping on me.

Ack!

  • Wow!

    Yikes!

I can't help it, I love your sig.

Yeah, I can't imagine how different my kids are going to be and to be honest, I'm scared to find out. ?I'm glad Yikes! is sleeping now. ??

  • LOL you are too funny.

  • Yeah, Bryan tends to think anytime his tummy hurts, he's hungry. ?He was one gastastic infant. ?Then he'd just belch or fart everywhere & be fine. ?I heart mylicon.
  • I can't even imagine trying to figure it all out again.

  • I remember struggling with that when my dd came home.  I would usually work my way down the list...feed...diaper change...burp...walk or swing...and repeat...
  • Our second is SO much more laid back.  we joke if we had her first and THEN our son we would be in a world of pain.

But yes it is always trippy as the 2nd grows.  I didn't give my dd Cheerios til an attendant at a class of hers gave her some and she liked them!  My son hates Cheerios so it's one of those "kid foods" I just never thought of for my girl.

  • I'm scared of relearning everything! The only plus side is that I feel like I forget everything that we did with DD and I am reassured when I hear friends say that #2 will be totally different so what worked for DD probably won't work again anyway -- so it doesn't really matter that I don't know what I'm doing, even though I already have a kid Smile

Glad the big burp got him to sleep!!

  • It is hard "learning" a new kid! I remember it all too well from DD! I am glad he is sleeping for you and you figure it all out very quickly!
