SOOOOOO sick of...

...peoples advice to me about MY child.  Especially a particular friend that doesn't have any children!  I talked to a very good friend of mine last night and she was asking all about DS.  She asked how he was sleeping.  So, I told her how he will only sleep at night if he is with me.  No crip, no swing, no bassinet, just me.  She tried to tell me how bad it was from him and for me and that in the long run I would regret it and it is dangerous, blah, blah, blah!  I told her that people can start to give me advice when they come here and spend the night with him.  I'm not going to tell anyone, anything, anymore...uhhhhhh, so obnoxious!

We co-sleep with Will. When I started telling people that, I got a *ton* of criticism.

It's gotten to the point where I just don't tell anyone anymore.

Ironically, the people I got criticism from are the people who are our age. People in our parents' generation are totally supportive of it, because they all did it with their kids!

It's gotten to the point where if someone with kids says something negatively about how we're parenting, I kindly remind them that I've never criticized their parenting and we're doing what works for us. That normally gets them to shut up.

good for you!! that would drive me crazy... has she read parenting books.. or been around alot of kids.. good for you for just blowing her off.. i have a hard time with the advice and im still pregnant..
